Welcome return, does it get better?

I am a little disappointed in this one ( in my garden, unattractive flower, low in the foliage, floppy leaves) , and would like to hear other opinions.  Is this *as good as it gets*, or does it look better in your garden?  I welcome recommendations for an excellent  parent plant the might provide rebloom in the off spring.
