Re: Nice Tamberg Irises

I second the motion as to GERMAN TET ONE. It's blooming in our garden for the first time, and it really knocks your socks off with its huge flower. UBER DEN VOLKEN, which we acquired at the same time, unfortunately died last summer. From your description I sure wish it were alive and well, too. Must add, however, that we acquired it from the late Julius Wadekamper, and I learned at last year's Siberillenium that what he sold under that name was not the real thing, so maybe it's as well that it died. Understand that Dr. Tamberg himself informed JW about the mistake, but nothing was done about it and the iris continued to be sold misnamed.
