New Zealand

Dear Friends,
TSI comes a little late out here but I've just enjoyed reading the
descriptions of the New Zealand travelers and want to thank them all for
transporting us along with them. You all made it sound delectable as I am
sure it was, and I wish I could be treated to a long evening's slide show
of your trip. I'm glad so many represented the US community there and were
able to report on the wonderful gardens the Kiwis have developed.
Congratulations, too, to Currier on his well-deserved Gold Medal.
And, it is nice to see such a growing list of display gardens.

I'm a bit disappointed that the robin members haven't written more about
the National - after Carol gave such a detailed report, what happened to
the rest of you? A few tantalizing tidbits from Maureen, who clearly has
more in the works somewhere... Carol didn't get to the other gardens, and
most Nationals don't have a lot of Sibs to offer as this one did, so
please, can some of you write up your experiences/observations, and post
photos? Thanks for the observations on "Zarky One" - how short was short,
Maureen?
	I'm just about done planting this year's 3000 seedlings; 2 or 3 99s still
offering a straggling stalk or two.

Now it is - 'wait til next year' for Siberians. Time to concentrate on
fruits and vegetables.
