I planted some sib seeds from SIGNA this early this spring. Some have
germinated and some were actually large enough for me to plant in a seedling
bed last week. They took off and doubled their size in the bed already. I
can see others sprouting in the flats.
I guess I have to point my question at Ellen and other northern folks on
this list. How long does it take from seed to bloom up here? I'm in zone 4,
NH, sitting up in a cold spot on a small moutain.
How long do I let the flat sit waiting for the late comers?
Has anybody tried direct seeding with sibs?
The first sib blooms opened yesterday so I'm pondering all kinds of things
here now. Including how best to protect tiny plants from small children and
pets.
