Galadriel

Hi folks!
Just thought you might like this picture of Bob Hollingworth's 2003
intro GALADRIEL in bloom in my garden. This picture was taken on June
17th, when the first blossoms started to open. Galadriel was my best
blooming Siberian this year. As of this writing, it is still blooming
nicely, in spite of our above average temperatures (and below average
moisture).
In general, it was a lousy year for Siberian bloom in my garden. Stalks
were short (nothing new there) and fewer in number. I guess I'm going
to have to be more aggressive about watering in the winter and early
spring. More fertilizer would help too. I also have a large number of
'homeless' Siberians in pots and I don't expect for them to bloom, and
largely, they didn't. I am happy to report, however, that their new
home is finally done! This fall I will be planting the potted sibs in
their brand new planting bed.
