Hello Anna Mae,
I confused you, the small plants are part of my dwarf breeding program, genetics not weather. Out of 900 seedlings about 120 are from dwarf breeding, the remainder are from normal sized parents.
I am germinating about 1000 seedlings in my dwarf progam this year. My goal is to create introductions in the same classes as bearded iris. But we can call them Dwarf Siberians 4-6", Standard Dwarf Siberians 8-12", and Intermediate Siberians around 18". I am still making crosses with Baby Sister and other know dwarfs. Summerchase Advent (10=12"), my introduction, appears to give its small stature traits to most offspring (so far about 90%)when used as the mother.
