Hello members,
As I
have noted earlier our spring was cool and long and siberians irises as well as
beardeds and others have displayed in growth gradually from early to late. The
heat from about June 5 have hastened flowering and some flowered on shorter
stems than it would be in normal weather. I put here calendar of flowering,
maybe for someone will be useful to know.
June 1 - I.typhifolia, June 4 - yellow seedling
from Kaunas Bot. garden /last year pic./, June 5 - Pleasure Of May, Lavender
Bounty, June 7 - Windwood Spring, Sailors Fancy, June 8 - Harpswell Haze, Cherry
Lyn, June 9 - Butter and Sugar, Jeweled Crown, Aqua Whispers, Coronathion
Anthem, Lilting Laura, June 10 - Shall We Dance, Reprise, June 11 - Dance
Ballerina Dance, Fisherman's Morning, June 12 - Sweet Success, June 13 -
Limehart, Ruffled Welvet, June 14 - Creme Chantily, Purple Sand, Standing Tall,
Golden Crimping, June 15 - Shirley Pope, June 16 - Devil's Dream, Mesa Pearl,
Wing On Wing, June 17 - Regency Belle, Sprinkles. All these sibs grow in the
same location and have the same conditions. I have very good flowering of
Orville Fay, but it grow near wood and it's flowering season can not be compared
with others.
The favourites of this year for me are: Aqua
Whispers, Creme Chantily, Devil's Dream, Golden Ccrimping, Jeweled Crown, Mebel
Coday, Mesa Pearl, Purple Sand, Regency Belle, Sailors Fancy, Shall We
Dance.
Until
now I can not comprehend what happened with Frosted Cranbery. As I have noted
last yer it grew bad and leaves were narrow and not more than 25cm high. After
winter it showed new shoots, but growth is the same as last year. I have no idea
what to do, that it would not die.
Flwering of siberians continue and
continue heat.
I have done many photos of siberians
and if someone is need one or another, mabe I will find in my pic collection and
send you in private mail.
