Extended bloom

There are two Siberians in my garden that are later than most. They are Serenade in Blue and Harbor Mist (both by Ken Waite), also Regency Buck. Serenade in Blue is still covered with blossoms. It takes longer for the blossoms to develop than most. Harbor Mist starts later and is always one of the last to stop blooming. It will some times throw a couple blossoms in August early September. Regency Buck normally does not start until most are half way through their bloom cycle. All in Stipple, Shirley Pope, Dianne's Daughter, Careless Sally, Neat Trick and Vi Luihn all have from a quarter to half their blooms left. I have others that are just starting, but it would not be fair to count them as I moved them late in this spring. White Swirl still has quite a bit of bloom left. There are a number that have some bloom left.

The Maine Iris Society June Show was split between Siberian and Tall Bearded this year.
It was a very good show considering the early season. Many more TBs than I expected. I thought the Siberians would dominate. Although there were many more siberians than usual, the show was pretty well balanced. Ellen you missed a nice show. Sorry you did not make it this year.

All for now
