Juneau Alaska zone/bloom info

From: Duane Buell <dbuell@iname.com>

My Apologies. Shauna asked what zone I'm in. I thought the info was in my
signature - it is now. My garden is considered right at the edge of USDA
5b/6a. Minus 21 F. is an extreme for cold and 90 F. is a rare high. We have
a strong ocean influence that moderates our temperatures both winter and
summer, and we have more overcast days than we have sun.

Measurements on the plants in bloom now are:
Silver Edge: one area of garden 47" with 4" blooms - another area 50+" with
4 inch blooms
Gatineau: 34" x 4" blooms
Snow Prince: 43" x 4" blooms

A real jewel that is now in bloom is a Setosa named "Kosho En" that came
from Foxbrook. It's a white, 28" with 3 3/4" blooms, and it almost glows.
