Fw: dues payments

From: "Nancy Price" <flags@pld.com>

Hum - Don't think I have ever posted to this eGroup. This mailing caught my
eye because I am not a member of SSI yet and do belong to this open public
eGroup. I found it through an AIS article inviting AIS members to join
Robins. The "electronic robin" was on the list. I selected it and Ellen
set me up with option if I did not want to remain on the list, I could quit.
At the same time, I joined iris-talk. Then I realized the connection with
Onelist. I also put together a website this winter for AIS region 18 and
included SSI. I emailed Jim Wilson for permission to link the SSI website.
I even proclaimed not being a SSI member YET. His response - "We'll be glad
to have you in SSI, whenever you're ready." Was appropriate response - made
doors feel open and waiting for me.

Last year, I planted my first Siberian (I am a newbie to AIS, HIPS, TBIS,
etc). Was not sure what to expect this Spring. When I noticed new growth
last week, I remembered Jim and am planning to join SSI now. Last year, I
read and printed a lot of the postings. The active members gave me names of
Siberians - reliable growers, favorites, helpful hints for growing. I used
this information for my first experiences. With your help, I now wish to
know more.

Perhaps there are others similar to me who are looking at the leaders in
this eGroup and other eGroups for guidance. Kinda like dangling that carrot
infront of the mule to promote action. It was affective for me. Hoping the
eGroup opens doors for others. One more thought - although there are
members of this eGroup who are not members of the SSI section, but who are
members of AIS.
