Please read my previous post - that is the official position of the SIBROB. 
I am the list owner and my co-moderator Kathy Marble is in agreement with 
it. So it will remain as it has been. No dues or joining requirements of any 
sort. Don't fret about it.

To be fair, I must say that some people (who are also new) have a different 
perspective (have to worry about the money in SSI) and also
plain didn't know. That is probably my fault and I will amend the welcome 
message to reflect that there are no regulations to join this eGroup and no 
dues are expected and we are an open, unmoderated gardening discussion group 
centered on Siberian irises. We don't have required subject heads on our 
messages like the iris-talk needs because we are much smaller and keep on 
topic almost always.
