Bill, on the bright side, it looks like you'll have extended bloom.
When my JI's emerge, they commonly grow faster on the southeast side of
the clump, but by the time the foliage is up over 12", the slower side
has caught up. Occasionally, the precocious side of the plant will
follow through and bloom a few days earlier.
