Re: how do you use the comet?

Comet or any other household cleaner with bleach is used as an in-place
treatment for bacterial soft rot. If you find a slimy, mushy, yucky, stinky
area, that is bacterial soft rot. Diluted regular bleach, sulfur,
antibacterial liquid soap are other materials that can be used for the same
effect. EVen sunlight can do the trick. There is a cure/preventative called
agrimycin (spelling suspect) which is an agricultural streptomycin. I have
found it in small quantities with a registration for irises. Expensive that
way.
