I've heard about these attachments but this is the first time I've seen one.
It looked peculiar to me (not the type of thing Jack would send) so I
deleted without opening.
I understand this kind of attachment is actually a mini program or a command
and not a virus. I've heard it's used by those looking for dedicated phone
lines they can access. Could be why neither Yahoo or Norton picked up on
it....
Is there any way the list could be set up to screen for types of attachments
and allow only jpgs through? I'd hate to miss some of the gorgeous pics but
not everyone remembers that anything urging them "to open the attachment"
should be trashed immediately. (Even attachments sent by someone you know
should be saved to disc and scanned before opening.)
Let's be careful out there.
