In MN zone 3 (3b, actually), we started bloom on the 14th and have had
bloom on 3 MDBs, 4 SDBs, and 1 unknown dwarf (maybe a pumila) so far.
Lots more MDBs and SDBs will pop in the next few days. The first IB (BIT
OF CHOCOLATE) will bloom tomorrow, and a few more of the taller medians
have fairly mature stalks. STEPPING OUT, which is supposed to be a ML,
is already showing stalk development, while many of the earlier TBs are
not.
ALL of the bareroot Sibs I put in last year made it through our endless
and VERY severe winter, but growth is slow. Just as well. I wouldn't
want them competing for attention with the beardeds. They are certainly
deserving of their own time in the garden spotlight. :-)
This is F-U-N!
