Re: hybridizer and year of introduction for various sibs

Dear Diana,
I would imagine that the iris named Harpswell is one of Currier McEwen's
irises. He used the name of his home town, Harpswell, as the first part of
the name of many of his tetraploid siberians: Harpswell Snow, Harpswell
Velvet to name two. He did not name any of his irises Harpswell with no
second name. I would be interested to know where you purchased these
plants.
I am certain that others know the information about the other two varieties.
I would have to look it up and it has been a long day in the garden. Good
luck with your search.
Sincerely,
Sharon Whitney
