Silver Illusion is hard to grow. The first time we got it from Borbeleta and
it lived through winter, produced a flower stalk in spring and died in
summer. The pollen formed a pod on Isabelle and on Percheron and those
seedlings have produced many wonderful things since. The second time we got
it from Dale Johnson and I think one small plant still struggles to live in
the field.
Many great-great grandchildren of Silver Illusion are blooming in the field
right now. It seems to have been a great door opener along with Snow Prince.
