Re: TSI weed control

Margaret,
There is no quick answer to the glyphosate toxicity question. If you google "roundup human toxicology" you can read about it all day. There is a little bit of good science there, intermingled with lots of politics. There are attacks on Monsanto, the maker of Roundup. Monsanto has position papers on the issue, trying to make it a non-issue.

The bottom line for anyone who uses these products is that human contact should always be minimized.

Subject: [sibrob] TSI weed control

I too read the article on weed control, and I understand and participate
in the need for it.  At the same time I recently read a piece, which I'm
looking for to pass on, saying that the active ingredient in Round-up
(which I would put here but can't spell) interferes with out bodies'
normal detoxifying system and is therefore not as benign as we may have
thought.  Since I've sprayed it with abandon, especially when I've been
on a poison ivy tear, I was taken up short by the article.  If I find it
again I'll post it.  In the meantime, has anyone else see such a report?
