Re: b & s

I'm not the one that brought up the 10 best yellows but I will mention my
favorites. WELFENSCHATZ is my best grower and shows the most promise.
Unfortunately I listed it in my catalog and everybody ordered it so I'm back
to having hardly any stock so I won't be able to list it again next year.

My old standby for a good almost yellow is DREAMING YELLOW. It is a good
landscape plant and has nice yellow buds. The flowers fade to white but
that's OK.

SUMMER REVELS from Schafer/Sacks was outstanding this year but it is only a
second year plant so it is hard to judge what it will do. I'm also growing
Currier's MERRYSPRING, and BUTTER AND CREAM. Both have nice yellow flowers
but some major faults on bloom sequence and foliage habit so far.

TOM SCHAEFER and SUNNY SPELLS from Schafer/Sacks will be second year plants
next bloom season. The pictures of each are pretty but neither bloomed in
May after being planted in April.

MOONSILK can be very good or it can be very temperamental. It's a nice
yellow color.
