Hello again!
Well it looks that I share an interest in Black flowers.
Grey - charcoal - silver grey, what ever comes up. Mixes nicely with reds.
Grey with blue or red is also a good combination.
A major part of one small flower bed is mostly of grey foliage plants with
soft yellow and white flowers. Spring daffs followed by white/light
green/yellow sdbs. Followed with Artemisias, grey foliaged Achillea,
Phalarus (sp) etc. In early summer large yellow asiatic lilies add height.
Stops people in cars and neighbors out for a stroll all the time.
Use of Black, see Piet Oudolf's book on perennial gardens and see how he
used Chysographes (black variant) with striped grasses.
