They should be fine if they can be poped out of the pots without disturbing roots. From: Anja Pansin/Wolfgang Zirkel <zirpan@freenet. To: sibrob@yahoogroups. Sent: Fri, Oct 16, 2009 2:50 pm Subject: [sibrob] Can I still transplant Siberian iris seedlings now? Hi everyone,
I have about 100 diploid and tretraploid Siberian iris seedlings which germinated this April and May and which are still in large pots (outside under my balcony). We had our first freeze the night before yesterday and some more freezes are predicted for next week but the ground is not frozen yet. Can I still transplant the seedlings to the garden now or should I keep them in the pots during winter and transplant them in spring?
Greetings from Germany (zone 6)
Anja
