Hi Chris,
Next time, I will read my posts a little more carefully. Iowa City
is 220 miles west of Chicago! Also Iowa City is 25 miles southeast of Cedar
Rapids! This information is especially important for those who don't live
in the United States.
My apologies to all at this time, but Lynn and I are going slightly
crazy at the moment. We have just recently purchased the garden of our
beloved daylily mentor, Frederick Mc Dowell of Iowa City. He is downsizing
his garden of over 2200 cultivars. I have so far dug and divided 800
clumps and will continue to dig weather permitting. I probably will be
sending my chiropractor to Bahamas for the winter when all is done! I am a
classical violist and symphony season has arrived. Currently I am playing
in the Cedar Rapids Symphony, Quad-City Symphony, two chamber orchestras and
doing private teaching. Lynn is a full-time research scientist in the
Infectious Disease section of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa.
Needless to say, our plate is full!
