Chartreuse Bounty was mentioned a while back, I made a cross between Steve
and CB. I like the flat form of both and had a half baked scheme to produce
a very flat looking large flowered Siberian that would mimac a JI. The
benefit being that Siberians will grow in higher pH with less finicking. Am
also growing some Helicopter seedlings for that purpose as well.
Got a nice big pod on CB so it will be interesting to see what a blue x
white will bring. Steve gets its form from a Siberian of unknown parentage
called Blue Moon and has Caesar's Brother in its blood as well. Chartreuse
Bounty comes out of Limeheart, Wing On Wing, Butter and Sugar, White Swirl
is back there somewhere.
It seems that a lot of modern Siberians have either White Swirl or Caesar's
Brother in their backgrounds. Wondering if there is any benefit trying to
cross to something that does not have these two in their backgrounds. If
there is anything that does not have them in their geneological tree? White
Swirl is of unkown parentage according to checklist but it may have Caesar's
Brother in it as well.
This gets rather interesting when you start looking up parentages.
