That is what I came to the conclusion in looking at parentages. Thanks for
the great comments Marty, I will have to look at my Snow Prince seedlings
and see about using it in some crosses. Will do some more digging on the
subject when I have a bit more time - looking into how many children are out
there.

One thing I have noticed that older cultivars like Gatineau in particular
have the strong triple branching at terminals plus branching lower on stem.
A lot of the newer larger flowered Siberians seem to only produce two
(terminal buds). Is this due to parenting or is that plant just producing
more
but bigger flowers at the expensive of number of flowers? Perhaps this has
been selected by hybridizers so that bigger flowers don't interfere with
each other on opening. Although flowers tend to open sequentially on
Siberians anyways.

Have the parents of some of the larger modern Siberians come from parents
originally with lower bud count? Will have to take a closer look at some of
the grandparents next bloom time. All interesting questions, many questions
but too little time :(
