Thank you, Mike, for posting this. The
information is very useful.
Especially interesting is the matter of ambient
temperature, with lower temperatures associated with lack of SA traits.
This is a factor we had not previously had mentioned, and is a variable that is
going to be uncontrolable for our genetics project. All we can do is note
the temps. But what temps in which part of the life cycle? Buds
begin to form for spring bloom beginning in the fall, do they not? I
would expect the SA variations must initiate during the earliest part of blossom
formation.
This project is getting complex.
