Randall,
I don't let mine dry. I just collect and put
them in the refrigerator. I think it might be a good idea to let them dry
first, but it seems mine still dry but just at a slower rate. I know I've
collected some just prior to a rain that were a ways from being fluffed up
naturally and they seem to go ahead and yield pollen. There might be more
pollen, though, if I let them dry. Haven't tried that. I'm always in
a rush and sometimes forfeit optimum in favor of speed.
