As Randy says bloom season in California will almost be finished by the 
time you get here.

George Sutton wrote a good article about Space age iris for a UK iris 
publication. it would be a good starting place.

 Very little is known about flatties. Fred Kerr probably knows as much 
as anyone on thet subject.

Clematis type iris doesn't bring any particular type of iris to mind. 
Could you be a little more descriptive? As you know yanks only speak 
slang and not proper English.

Visit www.hort.net and look for the list archieves. SpaceAgeRobin has a 
lot of info for you,but few flatties. Iris-photos has a lot of photos so 
its best you search for BEG TO DIFFER or NEW PERSPECTIVE in 2003 and 
2004. JUDY MOGUL also.
