Glowing Smile (Grosvenor) is the largest bloom I have yet seen on an iris. It has everything I like in plant habit. Stalks that require an ax to cut are capable of supporting the huge blooms. Bright in color and loud in branchin' and bud count. Unique in pattern.
Once observed you immediately recognize the meaning of the word distinctive. Worth at least a $100 but I have no idea how inexpensive it might be and have only a small start acquired last year.
Like all others here I know little of its linage.
