Bill,
I have only About town on your list. For me is a
good parent for amoenas and bicolours. childs with correct branching, beautiful
form flower and incredible variety of colors. Only a problem, for me, he has a
bacterial soft rot sensibility and he transfer this to the seedlings.

winter with snow and freeze and it isn't the end)

imports
<Now Bill, don't keep us all wondering which
irises you imported!!! >
Well the whats and whys are: Tuscan
Villa cause it was a yellow out of Louisa's Song and had a small white rim on
the falls.
Rules of Love cause it was a strange color combo with red
beards and good traits. Maybe I'll chase red with it. Regardless it fit here
for some reason.
Decadence cause I'd not seen a prettier photo than the
one posted to the iris photo list of any iris last year. Then that funny
talkin' Southerner, Blyth, put all those seedling pictures from it in his
catalog. Spect I'll be smearin' its pollen on everything that blooms at the
same time.
Sweetly Sung cause it has Louisa's Song in it so will be
crossed back to TV, LS, and to Secret Agenda.
Who's a Toff cause I did
not know what a Toff was and Power Woman needed a tuff mate with some
red and umbrata? pattern.
Secret Agenda cause Blyth said it was a
strange outcome from strong blues. Possible outcomes curiosity and that smooth
talkin' Southerner took my dollars.
Dream Til Dawn cause it has edged
standards and falls and Blyth said is was largely unexplored. It too is
purported to have good traits. The boy has my number!
Cameo Dawn cause
top and bottom of falls are different colors and seem to have perhaps strange
pigment sources. Plus I love Barbara My Love from the first bloom and with
each and every bloom I have ever seen. CD in a similar but sranger color
family.
About Town cause (?) I just can't remember why. Maybe in the
recesses of my often clouded mind I remembered something I wanted to do,
forgot what it was, but figgered it aught to be here if I did recall.
<laughin'> Maybe it was a Louisa's Song parent. That's where the
breeders of fine fox hounds go back for great dogs.
As a point in
passin', seems there's excess of fine fox hounds in England at the
moment.
Friends ordered some of the same irises. One is potting rizomes
and avoiding freezes, The other is planting in the ground, and I have mine
bare root, under refrigeration at night, and in natural light in
day.
