First of all, thanks to Neil for explaining my last post to me, l have a dire thirst for knowledge.
I may have asked this before but am not sure so here goes…..
This spring in the field AUTUMN THUNDER (Sutton 2000), an iris with a Stingray as a pollen parent, bloomed beautifully. The very last bloom to bloom had a long, prominent horn that appeared on 2 of the 3 falls. AUTUMN THUNDER isn’t registered as a SA so what is to explain for this?
Somewhere I had a good shot of the flower but can’t seem to find it now. Any thoughts? Is this perhaps an explanation of some of these other “minor” appendages?
Just to make things interesting……….

madness.
