"1" is a wonderful number. If you read through the contributions you 
will see a number of cases where SA expression was only the first year 
or only at the beginning of the bloom.Commercial growers replant all 
their stock each year. This insures they ship a good vigorous product. 
Iris have less vigor each succesive year but a 2nd year clump is very 
pleasing to the eye.

We will be looking forward to hearing about your zone5 observations.

Fungus Amongus weather here .Temp range 40 -50 with foggy days and foggy 
nights . Toadstools and fungus growing everywhere.
