Re: [SpaceAgeRobin] Help! I need pollen
I got some takes this autumn with pollen that was 6 months old.
Occassionally I get a few with 10-11 month old pollen. I store the whole
anther in little tubes, with milk powder in the bottem of the container, as
a dessicant. Then have the container tightly closed and stored in the
fridge.
Maybe it's being lazy but in spring I don't have time to zig-zag over a
whole 5 acres to do crosses, so I just caryy my tubes of labelled pollen
around the garden with me.
