I've used Rock Star a lot over the last few years and should start seeing a lot of the bloom results this year. I'm working on shorter rebloomers. For the same reason I've also used Momentous Occasion (from Rock Star) as it also carries rebloom.

Never very tall here but grows and blooms well. Has never rebloomed for me yet.

Chris,

Your observation of Rock Star interests me.  Here in Iowa it is fairly reliable (4 of 5 years puts on a nice show) but almost always blooms at the height of a border bearded.  It makes up for any of its faults though with a tremendous amount of increase and occasionally (2 in 5 years) reblooms.  Any other input on cultivars such as Rock Star?

What experience do others have with Abbey Chant?  It put on a phenomenal show this year and I made several crosses with it but only a few took (as seen in the list sent earlier).

Sounds like everyone has made some interesting crosses.  I’ll enjoy seeing the results in the coming years.

Jim,

It looks like you're having fun, that's what it's all about. I like
Rock Star but it's a pretty bad plant here in Canada. It blooms but
it's very short with very few buds.

I'll list off my crosses when I get the final tally.
