Momentous Occasion grows like a weed for me. Has fits of being very fertile, pod and pollen and then not being either. Weather dependant I think. Gives lovely wide seedlings.

I received Momentous Occasion as a gift for coming up with the name, during the Suttons name the iris contest, that Mike had going that year. So I was excited to try it out with some crosses, but I couldn't get it to set seed pods. I think it bloomed two years straight, even though it struggled to survive until it died out last year!
