Re: [SpaceAgeRobin] Jan. '05 Bulletin: Meininger SA iris

To me, these Meininger intros look like exactly the same exact flower taken at just slightly different angles by two separate people at two different times using two different exposure settings.

1.) There is a bud pushing its way through the two falls in both pictures.  The sun is at a different angle on the bud.  The one on page 44 shows less of a shadow on the bud than the one on page 49.

2.) To the left of the left fall there is a bud opening on another flower in both pictures.

3.) To the right of the right flower, and harder to see, is a bud of another flower.  In the picture on page 44 the background is in focus, but in the picture on page 49 the background is out of focus.  Because of the angle, the bud in the background of the picture on page 49 is harder to see, but there.

4.) The wavy ruffling on both falls are the same - follow them from the bud in the center of them down to the end of the fall and you will see the edge of the ruffle go up and down in the same places.

This has been fun!  It sort of reminds me of those pictures in the newspaper where they are both the same but you have to find 8 differences between the two.

"Is it me, or do these two photos look the same?"

I didn't notice it until you pointed it out, but yes, they DO look
the same. Hopefully someone has info about one being an improvement
on the other or something...
