Re: hello

Welcome Vincent,

I don't know if you've belonged to any Yahoo groups before but
you'll find this a more focused place than a general Iris group. We
are 56 people now mainly or partially interested in Space Age
Irises. This place is going to be a gold mine of information on this
very interesting race of Irises one day.

When I started looking around the net a few years ago, I was amazed
that there was nothing out there ! Sutton's first version of their
web site had a great seedling section that listed parentages but
there wasn't anything else to be found. Strangely, the Sutton's
page was also the first site I stumbled across many years ago when I
was trying to identify an old historic that I got from my Grand
Mother's garden before she moved out West. There was no looking
back for me despite my struggles to bloom these things over the
years. BTW, you can find Austin's SA article in the files section
if you haven't read it yet.

I'm personally hoping to breed ultra vigorous SAs for here in the
North that produce consistant appendages. There is much work to be
done ;-o

Anyway, thanks for introducing yourself, also, VERY interesting
seedlings. I didn't get much time to look at the this morning at
work but I'll try again tonight.

Chris
