I grow potatoes in half barrel planters (wine casks cut in half?), and plant
5 seed potatoes per barrel. I am happy with the yield but know it could be
better. I get about a dozen potatoes per barrel. (Hey - at least I got
some!!!) I am not good about fertilizing and watering regularly, but vow
that this year I will do better. (I have also learned an awful lot since I
grew them 2 summers ago.)
