No fair - you have plants to play with in all this snow!  I, on the
otherhand - am just trying to keep warm as a look at over a fott of it
already!

Well, it's snowing again.  My garden is wet, and I am bored.  WATCH OUT. 
Oh,
look over there.  It's the 9 to 10 inch tomato plants that I started as a
control for the pyramid
test, which is on hold due to the wettness.
     Hi little tomato plants, want to come over and play?
     Are those little 2-1/4 inch peat pots a little small for you now?
     Step into my parlor.
     It looks like 3 of you are getting a little leggy.  Do you want me
to fix that?  It
won't hurt a bit.  (It won't hurt me, anyway)
     Let's see.  If I take the bottom off of this new 2-1/4 inch peat
pot, and then
slice it up one side, it will fit around your stem, on top of your other
peat pot, just fine.
     I will hold it together with a twist tie.
     There.  Now I will fill it with potting soil, and you will look just
like a little 
palm tree.  As you get bigger and bigger I will just add more pots and
more soil.
     What will become of you?  I don't know.  We will just have to wait
and see.
     What about your other 6 friends?  Well, I will ask my friends on the
veggie list to 
come up with some suggestions for them.  What?  Of course I have friends
on the
veggie list.  
     Say goodbye Tom.
