What a good idea! I always wasted potting soil and space transplanting
into larger pots, which of course does nothing about the legginess. Of
course, I won't have that problem this year, as I haven't started my
tomatoes yet and it is warming up early this year. The problem will be
poor fruit set - maybe some splitting in addition to that - oh, and in
October I will be hauling plants into the house so as not to waste the only
decent amount of fruit that set all season, which will by then still be
completely green.
