If so, I share your problem.
I spent a small fortune on two sonic deterrents, the only effect
of which was that the $%¤&&* spent its efforts trying to dig them up!
A waste of money.
They are now being used the wrong way up to scare mice off the carrots,
which somehow seems to be successful.
