Yes, what I have, and that managed to avoid all 4 traps last night, is a
pocket gopher, not a mole nor a prairie dog, a plain ol western plump pocket
gopher.
I have tried poison in the past, but now I have outdoor pets, and besides,
I want to see the dead body. I found using poison very unsatisfactory;, I
never really knew for sure...... I have been using box traps that have worked
for me in the past, but I am thinking of getting some macabe traps that can
actually be pushed into the run.
And yes, when I have one chomping the roots of my beloved veggies, I do have
an obsession to kill.
I also have moles, but they dont bother me at all. They just burrow along
eating grubs and worms. They dont eat plant roots as do these &*&&*^%$
gophers.
Water down the run wouldnt work for me. My soil is too porous.
