Re: pocket gophers


I don't know about their habits, but for woodchucks, which hide in the
bottom cell of their burrows, we've backed a car up to the opening and
run a hose from the exhaust into the burrow and left the car running for
an hour.  The carbon monoxide is heavy I'm told, and settles to the
bottom of the burrow.  I hate killing things, but become bloodthirsty
when my garden is destroyed overnight.  This is supposedly a painless
death.
