RE: pocket gophers


I recall seeing a commercial version of this in the various seed catalogs that I receive.  There is a whirly-gig or some such thing on the end of the spike you pound in the ground.  The milk bottles sound like a nice cheap version of the same thing.  Guess that's why you suggested it.

Just ask my husband, he thinks I'm pretty cheap too. I'm always trying to come up with some make shift contraption for my various projects.  He says that's the farmer in me.  (I did grow up on a farm so I got it honestly.)
