Hello fellow gardeners!
I'm new to the list, but thought I'd jump right in with my
problem/question. Hope someone can help me.
Because of cucumber beetles, I haven't had a decent cucumber crop since
the seed companies stopped producing the "County Fair" variety. The
plants start out vigorous and healthy, bearing wonderful, tasty cukes,
but no amount of spraying or dusting (I use rotenone) helps. One by
one, the plants wither and die.
This year, I'm going to plant gourds for crafts and to act as a trap
plant, but I'm unsure of how close (or far away) to the cukes to plant.
Any suggestions?
