Hi Anne, I purchased a Troy built 8hp chipper shredder about four years
ago and could not be any happier than I am with it, it does make a bit
of noise and you must be careful when using it, they can be dangerous.
They tend to be more expensive than most other brands, but my neighbor
now borrows mine after having gone through two of the less expensive
brands, maintenance cost is very low, I have a small orchard and use
mine quite a lot on two and three inch limbs so I have had to sharpen
the blades on the chipper portion at least every year.
