I want to second all that Leila wrote when recommending Countryside
magazine. I subscribed after the big August issue, and can hardly wait
for each bi-monthly issue to arrive. I do happen to be vegetarian, but
as Leila said it is easy to just skip those articles because everything
else is SO informative.
I would also like to add that the editor is coming from a very
POSITIVE perspective, and views the post- 2000 scenario as being one in
which we'll all be more aware of our co-dependence with the land, and
participating more in our local communities.
Anyone interested in veggies will find a wealth of information from
seed collecting to harvesting , canning and preserving as well as
recipes in every issue.
Rest & Be Thankful!
