I enjoyed all the responses to my question about
"Gardening and the Year 2000." For those of you
who are making serious preparations for a long
siege, I'd like to add something I read about as
a potential problem in such an event--SALT.
Supposedly a diet of plants and wild animals (ugh)
may not provide enough salt and you can die from
the lack, so you may want to lay in an extra box
or two. It might even come in handy for food
preservation. I still very much doubt it will
come to this.
Since this note isn't about gardening, I would
like to add the address of my web page. It only
has a little about gardening so far--it was made
several years ago during a brief period when I
had a lot of spare time--but if you have several
rainy days in a row, you could check it out:
http://www.calweb.com/~kwdavids/anne
I'd like the addresses of some good gardening
pages, including individual ones, to add as
links (when I get around to it.)
Thanks,
--Anne
