Hi, I've just joined the list and was interested in the e-mails about
weather. In the UK we have had a wet spring with some snow and icy
nights. I haven't planted anything out yet, daren't risk it. The
weather is not that unusual but we don't normally get snow in April
and we now have two years running. I just hope this summer will be
better, last was wet, wet, wet. Because of this we had the year of
the slug, a large number of plants disappeared over night, the only
evidence the next day was slug trails. Outdoor tomatoes were a flop
as they would not ripen, I used the green ones but would have
preferred some red ones. It seems weird that in some parts we want
sun and other areas have too much.
