Hello everyone,
Here in Maryland, we have been harvesting cherry tomatoes for about four
weeks. Finally the large tomatoes are ripening and are just delicious.
However, all of the excessive rain (the most recorded in many years) and the
coolest July of the century have led to very slow ripening and lots of
splitting of the tomatoes.
The cucumbers have loved the cool, rainy weather and are outdoing themselves.
The beet harvest yesterday was very nice. Yes, the weeds are winning in
spots!
I would like to hear how other veggie gardens in the Midatlantic region are
doing with this unusual weather.
