Yes Nesa, I was stationed in HMS Simbang at Sembawang and lived at various
places including, Serangoon, Changi, Seletar and Tanglin but I also was in
Borneo well Sarawak which is part of Malaysia. My veg is okay its me that
did not have the time to do much this last season as I was too busy at work
and the job I did was transferred into London so it added at least another
two hours onto my day travelling and when I did get some time the weather
was bad so I lost a lot of stuff. Still there's always next year and anyway
the freezer has now got lots of runner beans in it.
No I haven't been back to Singapore and I know there have been many changes
including the underground so it would be very different to what I remember.
One thing I do recall was picking pineapples and bananas and I had a
pomegranate bush in the back garden...lovely. Jim
